Review

Another great simulation game developed by Chronic Logic, for those after new and entertaining games, here is Pontifex. An intelligent game where the player will be challenged to build bridges of different difficulty levels and make them work correctly. Pontifex allows the player to design and build bridges and test them.

You are awarded with a certain budget for your construction needs, and the materials available are light steel, heavy steel, cable and deck. Once you have built your bridge, you can test it by allowing a train to cross it. If it does not fall, you will have succeeded and you can move on to the next level. But if you fail, you can always go back to the edition stage and rebuild the bridge, this time being more careful on how you set it up.

This game will test your engineering capacities and will not let you get bored. If you have already tasted Bridge Construction Set, Pontifex has some more difficulties and it is for experienced builders. You can set the light, the angle, and have a partial view of the built bridge. You can also choose color and the sun orientation. Get ready to play and have fun, watching bridges fall or watching how you succeed level by level.
Advantages
  • Different levels of difficulty.
  • Challenging.
  • Easy to play.
Disadvantages
  • The scenarios do not look real.
  • Sounds are not accurate.
  • No choice of languages.
